Library Research and Instruction During Campus Closure

This guide is for students and faculty who may have questions about library resources during the closure.

Curbside Pickup Overview

The FLC library is providing curbside pickup service while the library building remains closed. The checkout process includes the following steps:

Request the book

  1. Find the book you want to check out in OneSearch.
  2. Click on the title of the item. In the location section, make sure there is a copy at FLC. (If you request a non-FLC item you will need to pick it up at the listed location.)
  3. Click "Sign In" and enter your W ID and password.
  4. Once you are signed in, click the purple "Request" button.
  5. Click the teal "Request Now" to submit the request.

Wait for a notification

  1. Library staff will see your request the next time they are at the library. This may take a few days.
  2. You will receive an email at your preferred Los Rios email address when your item is ready.

Go to campus

  1. During one of the regular pick-up times, go to Parking Lot A and park in one of the 20-minute visitor parking spots.
  2. Call the library at (916) 608-6613 and provide your first and last name to library staff.
  3. Library staff will place a paper bag with your book(s) on the table nearby.
  4. Retrieve your bag from the table.
