Accessing Resources

When LibKey Nomad detects a scholarly article or book, you will see one of the following icons:

Immediately Accessible:

When a resource is available through the library, an icon with the words "Download PDF" will appear to indicate that you can open it as a PDF in a new window. Clicking the icon will open it as a PDF in a new tab in your browser. If you are off-campus, you will be prompted to sign in with your Los Rios W# and password before it opens.
Alternatively, an icon with the words "Article Link" will provide you with a link to the resource in a database.

Not Immediately Accessible:

For many, though not all resources that are not immediately accessible, you may see an icon with the words "Access Options". During business hours, the library may be able to get a digital item to you that day. At the most, if the library is able to get the item for you, it could take up to a few days for digital items and a few weeks for physical items.
